Igni Accessibility

Igni is a daily check-in, so lighting your fire and acting on an alert have to work for everyone. Every common task, from the first launch and the safety notice to lighting your fire, seeing who saw it, watching someone's fire, acting on notifications, settings, purchases, accepting an invite and your account, works with the accessibility features below. On Apple Watch, so do seeing and lighting your fire.

iPhone

• VoiceOver. Every control has a spoken name and every screen reads in a sensible order. With VoiceOver, the hold button lights your fire with a double-tap, no holding needed. Receipts are read as text, and notification actions such as "I'm okay", "Seen" and "Call" are available.
• Voice Control. Controls are named by the words you see. Say "Tap Hold I'm okay" to light your fire.
• Larger Text. Text follows your text-size setting, including the larger accessibility sizes. Text wraps instead of being cut off, sheets scroll, and the hold button grows. The safety notice, "Igni is not an emergency service", is always shown in full.
• Sufficient Contrast. Text and controls meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio (4.5:1 for text), and with Increase Contrast on, secondary text gets stronger.
• Reduced Motion. With Reduce Motion on, the fire scene drops its sparks, the ignition flash, the twinkling stars and the drifting camera. The progress of the hold is still shown.
• Differentiate Without Color. The state of a fire and of each person ("saw", "delivered", "sending") is always said in words, not only shown by colour.
• Dark Interface. Igni is dark on every screen.

Apple Watch

• VoiceOver. The hold has a spoken name and lights your fire with a double-tap; your fire's state is read aloud.
• Larger Text. Text grows with your watch's text size, and the hold grows with it.
• Sufficient Contrast. Text is high-contrast on the watch's dark background.
• Reduced Motion. Only the progress ring of the hold moves, because it shows how far along you are.
• Differentiate Without Color. Your fire's state is shown in words.
• Dark Interface. The watch app is dark.

Captions and Audio Descriptions

Igni has no video or audio content, so captions and audio descriptions don't apply.
