Tripl Terms of Use

1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Burak Özaslan, who makes Tripl at 1801 Labs ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Tripl, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. The licence and Apple's Standard EULA

Tripl is licensed, not sold, to you through the App Store under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms add to the Standard EULA. Where they conflict in a way that affects your rights as an App Store user, the Standard EULA prevails.

You and we acknowledge that:

  • These terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Tripl and its content.
  • Your licence is limited to using Tripl on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service allow.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Tripl. Support is provided by us (section 17).
  • If Tripl fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Tripl.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to Tripl or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that Tripl fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • If a third party claims that Tripl or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You agree to comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use Tripl, such as your mobile carrier's.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

3. What Tripl is

Tripl is a darts scorer for iPhone and Apple Watch. It keeps score for X01, Cricket and Killer, runs nights for a group, shares the live score with the people you play with, and keeps your stats and training. It is not a betting or gambling service.

4. Who can use Tripl

You can use Tripl if you can enter into a binding agreement in your country, or if a parent or guardian agrees to these terms for you.

5. Free features and Tripl Pro

Tripl is free to download. Tripl Pro is optional and adds nights (round robin, knockout and Killer), training drills and their history, voice scoring, Apple Watch scoring and full stats. Players always join a group for free; only the organiser of a night needs Pro or a Night Pass. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.

Tripl Pro is offered as:

  • Monthly: an auto-renewable subscription.
  • Yearly: an auto-renewable subscription with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
  • Lifetime: a one-time purchase that does not renew.

For each of them:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. With the yearly free trial, the first payment is charged when the trial ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. If you cancel during the trial, Pro ends when the trial ends.
  • Auto-renewal: a subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends, at the same price unless we told you about a change in advance.
  • Manage or cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Tripl. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Restore purchases is in your Profile in the app and on the Pro screen. Use the same Apple Account you bought Pro with.
  • If Pro ends, your matches, groups and stats stay. Pro features are locked until Pro is on again.

All purchases are made through Apple and are also governed by Apple's terms.

6. Night Passes

A Night Pass is a one-time purchase that opens one night for the whole group, without a subscription. It is used up when you open a night with it and cannot be moved to another night. Night Passes you haven't used stay available on your devices signed in to the same Apple Account and iCloud.

7. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, and we cannot issue refunds ourselves. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

8. Board fees and money

The board fee in a night is a tick box that shows who has paid. Money never moves through Tripl, and we are not part of any payment between players.

9. Your data

Your matches and groups belong to you and the people you play with. They are stored on your devices and in iCloud. We have no copy and cannot recover them for you. How Tripl handles data is described in the privacy policy.

10. Groups and fair use

Only invite people who want to play, and don't use nicknames or group names to harass anyone. Don't misuse Tripl: don't try to break, reverse engineer or interfere with the app or Apple's services beyond what the law allows.

11. Our rights

Tripl, its design, code and name belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a licence to use the app, not ownership of it.

12. Provided as is

Tripl is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We work to keep the scoring exact and the app reliable, but we can't promise that it is free of errors or that it will run without interruption.

13. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law says so. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Tripl in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Changes to Tripl and these terms

We may update Tripl and these terms. If a change is significant, we will show it in the app or on this page before it applies. The date above shows the latest version.

15. Ending

You can stop using Tripl and delete its data at any time. We may end these terms with reasonable notice, or immediately for serious breaches. Sections 7, 11, 12 and 13 continue to apply afterwards.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction, except where the consumer protection law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim there. You keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
