Filiy Privacy Policy

In short

Filiy has no accounts, no servers of its own, no analytics, no ads and no third-party SDKs. Your garden lives on your iPhone and, if you choose, in your own iCloud. We cannot see it. The App Store privacy label for Filiy is Data Not Collected.

1. Who is responsible

Filiy is made by Burak Özaslan at 1801 Labs, Maltepe, İstanbul, Türkiye. Email: support@1801labs.com. For any privacy question or request, write to that address.

2. What Filiy stores, and where

• On your iPhone. Your plants, the days you watered them, their minimum versions and your notes are stored on your device.
• In your own iCloud, if it is on. Filiy keeps a copy in your private iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit) so your devices stay in step. That copy lives in your iCloud account, which Apple runs under its own privacy policy; we cannot read it. Text you write, such as plant names, minimums and notes, is stored in CloudKit's encrypted fields, which Apple encrypts end to end.
• If iCloud is off, everything stays on your iPhone.

3. What Filiy never does

• Filiy never sends your information to us or to any third party. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in the app, and no cookies.
• Filiy never uses your information for advertising, profiling, data brokering or training anything.
• Filiy never sells or shares personal data. There is nothing to sell: we do not have it.
• Filiy does not track you across apps or websites.

4. Shared gardens (optional)

If you create or join a shared garden, Filiy uses Apple's iCloud sharing. The people in that garden can see the plants inside it, which days each plant was watered and by whom, and the name you choose to show, if you add one. Your personal gardens are never shared. A shared garden never shows who didn't water. You can leave a shared garden at any time; its creator can close it.

5. Apple Health (optional)

If you let a plant water itself from Apple Health, Filiy reads only the metric you choose (for example, steps), only to decide whether that plant was watered today.

• Health values never leave your iPhone and are never stored by Filiy, on the device or in iCloud. Only the result, "watered today", is saved.
• Filiy never writes to Apple Health.
• Health data is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining, and is never shared with anyone.
• You can turn off Health access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Filiy.

6. Places (optional)

If you let a plant water itself when you arrive at a place, the places you set stay on your iPhone and never sync to iCloud. Your location is never stored or sent anywhere. Only the result, "watered today", is saved. You can turn off location access at any time in iOS Settings.

7. Notifications

Notifications are created on your iPhone. Nothing is sent from a server.

8. Purchases

Filiy Pro and tips are bought through the App Store with StoreKit. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details or your Apple Account. The app checks your purchase with Apple on your device.

9. Permissions

Before Filiy asks iOS for a permission, such as Apple Health, location or notifications, it explains in the app why it is asking. Every permission is optional, and you can change it at any time in iOS Settings.

10. Your control

• Export: the You tab → Export gives you all your data as a JSON file, free, at any time.
• Delete: the You tab → Delete everything removes Filiy's data from your iPhone and from your iCloud.
• Shared gardens: inside a shared garden, the people icon → Leave the garden removes you from it.
• iCloud: turn it off for Filiy in iOS Settings to keep everything on your iPhone only.

11. Emails you send us

If you write to support@1801labs.com, we receive your email address and what you write, and use them only to answer you. Our email is hosted by Apple (iCloud Mail). We keep emails as long as needed to help you, and delete them on request.

12. This website

1801labs.com, where this policy lives, sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and technical request data to deliver the page and protect it from abuse.

13. Legal bases

Filiy itself processes your data only on your device and in your own iCloud, under your control; we do not receive it. Where we do process personal data, the legal bases under the GDPR are: answering your emails, Art. 6(1)(b) or (f); operating this website securely, Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interest.

14. How long we keep data

We hold no data from the app. Data on your iPhone and in your iCloud stays until you delete it (section 10). Emails are kept as long as needed to answer you.

15. International transfers

We do not transfer app data anywhere, because we do not receive it. iCloud is run by Apple, which may store data in other countries under its own safeguards. Emails to us are stored by Apple's iCloud Mail.

16. Security

Your data is protected by your iPhone's security and by Apple's iCloud protections, including end-to-end encryption for the text you write. Filiy has no servers that could be breached.

17. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR (EU and UK), the Turkish data protection law (KVKK) and US state privacy and consumer health data laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we hold none of your app data, you can use most of these rights directly in the app (section 10). For anything else, write to support@1801labs.com; we answer within one month. We do not sell personal data, share it for targeted advertising, or make automated decisions about you.

18. Children

Filiy is not directed at children under 13, and it collects nothing from anyone. If you think a child has sent us personal data by email, write to us and we will delete it.

19. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app before it applies.
