Dosi Support

Privacy policyTerms of useSupport

Dosi is a reminder and a log, not medical advice. It doesn't check doses or interactions. Follow your prescriber's or pharmacist's instructions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Something not working, or a question we haven't answered here? Write to support@1801labs.com. Please include your iPhone model and iOS version. Please don't send us details of your medicines.

How do I add a medicine?

Tap + (Add medication) and fill in the sheet: the Name as written on the box, the Strength (as on the label) if you like, Looks like, Each dose and the Times. Drag the day to set a time, and use + Add time for more. Then choose Ring as alarm and Visible to family, set In the pack, and tap Add to box. The first time, Dosi explains that it is a reminder and a log; tap I understand. Enter the dose exactly as your prescriber told you: Dosi doesn't check it.

Why doesn't Dosi show a picture of my medicine?

Dosi never guesses a medicine from its name. Under Looks like, pick the form that looks like your medicine, its Colour, a Second colour for two-part forms, and its Size, then tap Done.

What's the difference between an alarm and a notification?

With Ring as alarm on, a dose rings through Silent mode and Focus, like your wake-up alarm. Tap Taken on the alarm to mark it. Stop only silences it: it rings again in 10 minutes, up to three times, and never marks the dose. With Ring as alarm off, the dose comes as a notification with Taken and Snooze 10 min. If several medicines share a time, the dose rings as an alarm if any of them is set to ring.

How do I mark a dose?

Tap Taken on the next-dose card, on the alarm or on the notification, or tap a compartment of the box and choose Taken or Skip. You can mark a dose up to two hours early with Take early; before that, the button shows when it opens. When you skip, Dosi asks why: My doctor said to pause, Ran out, Felt unwell or Other. The reason goes in the log; Dosi never interprets it.

I marked a dose by mistake.

Tap Undo right after marking. Later, open the dose and tap Remove this mark. The log keeps a record that the mark was removed.

What does "Already given" mean?

Someone has already marked this dose. Dosi shows who and when, and writes nothing: "Do not give it again." Tap OK, I won't give it, or Something wrong? Edit the log if the mark was a mistake. Not sure? Ask your pharmacist or doctor.

Can Dosi tell me if I took too much?

No. Dosi only shows what was marked. Ask your pharmacist.

My doses don't ring. What should I check?

  • In iOS Settings → Dosi, allow Alarms and Notifications, including Time Sensitive Notifications. If alarms are off, alarm doses come as notifications instead; if notifications are off too, those doses aren't reminded.
  • Open Dosi at least once a week and keep Background App Refresh on. Dosi plans alarms a week ahead and renews them when you open it and in the background.
  • Keep your iPhone charged and switched on. An alarm can't ring on a phone that is off.

Why don't widgets and notifications show medicine names?

Widgets, the Live Activity and notifications can be seen on your Lock Screen, so by default they show the dose and its time, not what you take. To see medicine names in notifications, turn on Show medicine names in notifications in Dosi's Settings. Widgets and the Live Activity never show medicine names. Caregiver alerts never show medicine names either.

I'm travelling. What happens to my times?

Dose times follow your iPhone's current time zone, so reminders follow the local clock. If your prescriber gave you strict intervals, ask them how to adjust while you travel.

How do I share my box with family?

Open the + menu and choose Invite family to my box. Enter Your name, as your family sees it and tap Continue. Apple's sharing screen opens; send the invitation, for example in Messages. Your family needs iCloud and Dosi, and no Dosi account. Sharing a box is part of Dosi Family.

What does my family see?

The medicines that are visible to family, with their names, strengths, looks, amounts and times, the log, and the refill state. They can also mark a dose. To keep a medicine private, turn off Visible to family: your family sees "1 private med" and a dashed pill, not the name.

How do I add someone without a phone?

Open the + menu and choose Add someone you look after. Their doses ring on your phone, and the button says Given. You can invite others to their box from Invite family on their page.

How do caregiver alerts work?

When a dose that rings as an alarm isn't marked by the end of its grace time (30 minutes after its time, by default), the people who look after that person get one alert: "Ayşe's 8:00 AM dose isn't marked yet". If it's marked later, they get a follow-up. There is no message for every dose taken, and doses that come as notifications don't send alerts. Alerts are a reminder aid. They can be late if a phone or our alert service is offline. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

How do I remove someone from my box, or stop sharing?

On your box, tap Manage who's in. Apple's sharing screen lists the people in your box: remove someone there, or stop sharing. If you're a family member and want to leave, open that person's page and tap Leave [name]'s box.

How do caregiver alerts start and stop?

They're off until you turn them on. The box owner turns on Alert my family; each family member turns on Alert me to get alerts on their iPhone. Turn either off at any time. Turning off Alert my family deletes the box from our alert server.

What does "Refill soon" mean?

Dosi counts down In the pack each time a dose is marked as taken. When about five days are left, it shows Refill soon. Removing a mark puts the count back.

How do I delete my data?

In Dosi's Settings, tap Delete everything: your medicines and log are removed from iCloud first, then from this iPhone. It can't be undone. You can also delete Dosi's iCloud data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Dosi.

How do I restore or cancel Dosi Family?

Restore your purchase in Dosi with the same Apple Account you bought it with. To cancel a subscription, go to iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Dosi. Dosi Family stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
