Trea Support
Trea is a care log, not veterinary advice. If you're not sure about a dose or your pet's health, call your vet.
Something not working, or a question we haven't answered here? Write to support@1801labs.com. Please include your iPhone model and iOS version. If you are a sitter, include the browser you use, and never send the part of your link from the "#".
How do I add a pet?
Open the Care book from Your pack in Every day, then tap Add your first pet or Add a pet. Give a name, a species and a colour. A photo is optional: Add a photo opens the iOS photo picker, which gives Trea only the photo you choose. Under Care notes you can add feeding, quirks, your vet and your emergency vet. Turn on Glucose log to show the glucose card for this pet.
How do I add a medicine or another care item?
In the care book, tap Add an entry. Choose who it is for and the kind (food, meds, walk or care), write a title and the how-to, and pick the times and the schedule: every day, days of the week, every few days, monthly or a course of a set number of days. For a medicine, turn on Is this a dose? and fill in Amount, as written exactly as your vet wrote it. Trea doesn't check or calculate it. What you write in the care book shows in Today and on your sitters' page.
How do I log a dose?
Tap Given on the next-dose card. You can also tap a dose in Today and choose Given, or Skip with an optional reason and then Skip this dose. If you tapped by mistake, tap Undo on the message that appears. Everyone in your household sees the dose as given, with your name and the time.
What does "Already given" mean?
Each dose has one place in the log. If someone in your household or a sitter has already marked it, Trea shows Already given, with who gave it and when, and writes nothing. Don't give it again. Not sure? Call your vet.
How do reminders work?
Open Settings (the gear) and turn on Remind me. Trea asks for notification permission first. Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone at each dose time and show the pet, the item and the amount. You can tap Given on the notification. If someone already gave the dose, Trea tells you who and when instead. Reminders can fail, for example when notifications or a Focus are off, so don't rely on them alone.
I don't get reminders. What should I check?
In iOS Settings → Notifications → Trea, allow notifications and Time Sensitive Notifications, so reminders come through a Focus. In Trea's Settings, check that Remind me is on for this iPhone.
How do I log glucose?
Turn on Glucose log for the pet in its care book. The glucose card in Every day lets you add a reading in mg/dL or mmol/L; choose the unit under Glucose unit in Settings. Trea shows your readings as a curve and the day's lowest reading as data. It never interprets them. Share them with your vet.
How do I share my pets with my household?
Your household shares the same pets, care book and log through iCloud, with no Trea account. Everyone needs to be signed in to iCloud. The people you invite see and can mark the same doses, and they can follow your trips.
How do I hand over to a sitter?
Open Trip, set the dates and the visits, and add your sitters. Each sitter gets their own link and a 4-digit code. Under Sitter links, tap Share link to send it, for example in Messages, and give the code to the sitter yourself. The sitter needs no app and no account. Every visit they make stamps your trip ticket.
How do I turn off a sitter's link?
Under Sitter links, open the sitter's link and tap Turn off this link. It stops working at once, and the sitter page says the link was turned off. Links also stop working on their own 48 hours after the trip's last visit window.
A sitter's link is locked. What do I do?
After 10 wrong codes in 24 hours, a link locks, and you get a notification with a reset action. Reset it from the notification or in the app, and check that the sitter has the right code.
What happens if a visit is late?
If a visit has no stamp 60 minutes after its time, Trea tells you and your household. When the first stamp of that visit arrives, you're told that the sitter checked in.
For sitters: how does the page work?
Open the link from the message you got, and Enter the code the owner gave you. During a visit, tap each item when it's done: it stamps the ticket the owner sees. You can Add photo to an item, write a note for the owner, and tap Finish visit at the end. The page opens 90 minutes before each of your visits. If a dose shows Already given, don't give it again. Not sure? Call the owner or the vet listed under Something's wrong?.
For sitters: the page says "Open the link again"
For your privacy, the page forgets its key when it reloads. Tap the link in the message you got.
For sitters: the page says the link was turned off, has expired or is locked
This link was turned off: the owner turned it off; ask them if you need a new one. This link has expired: the trip is over. This link is locked: too many wrong codes were entered; ask the owner to unlock it, or try again after the time shown.
Who sees the sitter's photos, and for how long?
The owner and their household. Photos are made smaller on the sitter's phone, which removes their location, and encrypted before upload. Our server deletes them 30 days after the trip and never backs them up. A trip can hold up to 40 photos.
Is the house card safe?
The door code and Wi-Fi password are encrypted end to end, like the rest of the trip. The sitter sees them only after tapping Show, and you see when they did. If you shared a door code, change it after the trip.
How do I remove a pet or an entry?
In the care book, tap Edit on the pet and then Remove followed by its name, or open an entry and tap Remove from the care book. It leaves Today and reminders. Every dose already logged stays in the log.
How do I delete my data?
Your household's data lives in your own iCloud. You can delete Trea's iCloud data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Trea, and delete the app to remove what is on your iPhone. Trip data on our server is deleted 30 days after the trip, or right away when you delete the trip in the app.
What's free, and what does Trea Pro add?
The free version includes one pet, unlimited doses, the household, one active trip with one sitter, and the sitter page. Trea Pro adds unlimited pets and trips, several sitters per trip, the trip archive with photos, the vet PDF and glucose history beyond 7 days. It is monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase. A Trip pass gives a single trip all of Pro's trip features. Sitters never pay anything.
How do I restore or cancel Trea Pro?
Use Restore purchases in the app, with the same Apple Account you bought Trea Pro with. To cancel a subscription, go to iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Trea. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
